I have personally been in a relationship for 20 years that has always been somewhat one sided. Her side. Because I love her I chose to stick it out through thick and thin. I wouldn't suggest it for everyone though. What you said sounds like me to a tee and now I am in a situation where I couldn't leave even if I wanted to. Life has played some pretty cruel jokes and my partner is and has been for several years physically and mentally injured and even though I would love to have a life I'm stuck. I would never leave her like this. So do yourself a favor and reevaluate your situation before you end up like me.
