I am a 68 year old retired paralegal/hypnotherapist. I have one adult son, 2 cats, and a lot of time. I enjoy all kinds of people. I have been in three long-term lesbian relationships in my life. The first, at age 24, lasted 9 years. That was over 40 years ago and we are still the best of friends even though we live across the country from each other. My second relationship lasted a little over 14 years, ending with the unexpected and untimely death of my partner. I was single for 3 years before becoming involved again. That relationship lasted 11 years. It ended because of discontent. However, again, we are good friends and still enjoy going out for meals or to concerts, etc. I was married for just 3 years at a very young age (16) and had one son. We divorced when he was just a couple of years old.
I enjoy lots of different things including movies and concerts (from Elton John to a Symphony Orchestra), all types of music, i.e. country, classical and Motown. I love to play table games and cards. I used to dance (it was my true passion) but in the past few years have been unable to do so. I like to travel, curl up with a scary book or movie, or just enjoy spending time with my cats, Sammy and Shelby.
I am not necessarily looking for a long-term relationship (although it would be wonderful) as much as I'm looking for someone to share my time with and to share in their lives.
Having had three very good relationships in the past, I know and believe that above all in order to have a lasting relationship you must have complete trust in the other person, complete honesty, and be able to communicate openly. I love laughing and a sense of humor for me is a BIG thing. I try at this point in my life not to take things too seriously, and to live each day as fully as I possibly can. I'm not afraid to live alone, I can enjoy my own company, but I do get lonely once in a while and having a special someone in my life would be so much fun.
If you would like to write I will answer and maybe we can discover some things we have in common that we might enjoy together. Ideally we will not live very far apart otherwise it makes having dinner and a movie kinda hard!! I will try to scrounge up a picture to post as soon as I can.
